Coach Dawn is the mother of 3. She started coaching in 1995 with the Rhode Island Pre Teen Organization. She started at the Pee Wee level and moved up with her daughters through the levels. Ending at the Varsity Level. She also was the Coordinator of the City league she belonged to. During her 8 year stay with the league she received 10 RI State titles. She then moved to the Middle  School level and was the Assistant Coach to the High School team for one year. This year was the High School's 1st year competing. They won the Novice Division. Since then Coach Dawn has been the High School Coach and has successfully kept the team on top and has added 3 more RI State Titles to her resume in the High School Coed Varsity Division.

Coach Dawn is AACCA Certified and USASF Certified for all levels, tumbling, stunting and tosses. She is also CPR and First Aide Certified.

She is still the Cheerleading Coach for Woonsocket High School and plans to keep that position, she is also the Secretary of Rhode Island Cheerleading Coaches Association.

Listed below are some of our coaches. The list will grow soon ! All these coaches have specific teams that they'd like to be Head Coach of but we will all work together to make Superior Cheer a family atmosphere ! 

Coach Jay is a graduate of Woonsocket High School and now attends Rhode Island College.

He started cheering at the Pre Teen level at the age of 11. He won 2 State Titles during his 3 years there. He then moved up to the High School level where he helped lead the High School Cheerleading team  to 3 RI State Championships, participating in the routine and doing the choreography for them.

He is a 3 time All State recipient, top scorer 2 of these times and 2 time top All American at NCA Cheer Camp. James is currently finishing the season off on the National Championship winning Large Coed Team at Celebrity Cheer, who placed 5th at the World Championship's held in Orlando, Florida.

James also coaches and choreographs Woonsocket High School Cheer team along with Coach Dawn. He will also continue coaching there in the future. He is an active member of Rhode Island Coaches Association, Certified Coach for NCA, CPR and First Aid Certified.

In the All Star world Jay has accomplished several Championships at the local level and then on to Regional and National levels.

Kimberly Sturgis is a former Rhode Island Pre-teen and High School Cheerleader. In 1999 she decided to turn her love for cheerleading in a new direction and started coaching for Rhode Island Pre-teen. Kimberly started coaching as a student coach out of town to help out a family member but eventually she made her way back to her roots, coaching for the same City league organization that she once cheered for. Kim started off as an Assistant Coach for two years at the Junior Varsity level. In 2006 Kimberly advanced as Head Coach of Junior Varsity and brought home the State Championship Title. Once again in 2007 she has advanced within her league and is currently the Head Coach of the Varsity level. Also Kimberly is currently entering her 4th year as Head Coach of the local Middle School team which has been at the top of their game for those years. Let's not forget, she is AACCA Certified, CPR and First Aide Certified and a member of The Rhode Island Cheerleading Coaches Association! With over 10 years of coaching experience Kim is beyond excited to join the Superior Cheer Family !  And we are extremely proud to have her !

Francis D'Ambrosio is a graduate of Concord Carlisle High school and is currently attending the School Of Fashion Design on Newbury St. in Boston, MA.

Francis cheered his Junior and Senior year in high school as the first male cheerleader for the school and his senior year on the Boston All Stars. While cheering on the Boston All Stars he helped his team take home a National tittle. In 2005 Francis started the Concord Carlisle pop Warner cheerleading program and has coached their teams for 4 years straight. On top of all that he has helped coach three of his local High school teams taking two of them to states!

Francis is the owner of  a custom clothing company, DAmbrosio Designs. He produces one of a kind tops, skirts and dresses. This is his biggest passion next to cheerleading.

Francis is USAG, AACCA, and NCSSE certified. Along with First Aid, CPR, and AED certified.

Francis is very excited to join the Superior cheer family and can't wait to get started!

We are SOOO excited to have Nikki at Superior Cheer All Stars!. Here is some back round on Coach Nikki. She danced for 11 years in Rhode Island. Started cheering and receiving her winning streak at Methuen High School,  4 time State Champion High School!  Her coaching back round begins with Pop Warner as so many of us! She was a member of East Elite All Stars and was a 3 time NATIONAL Champion with them, moving on to the UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE, we know their success record !!  Once finishing there she moved to Gym Tyme All Stars, once again receiving a NATIONAL Champion title!  She also has as one of her accomplishments an NCA Staff Member!

She currently resides in North Providence and is REALLY excited about the year to come!  And we are SOOO excited to have her as another AMAZING coach at Superior Cheer All Stars
